Have you ever heard of Eco-Dentistry?

If you’ve never heard of it, don’t panic: we’re here to show you this magical world.

And yes, we are talking about the world and not about trends, because talking about Eco-Dentistry is not just us, but the ‘FDI (World Dental Federation) in person!
So fasten your seatbelts, armed with curiosity and…let’s go!

And now let’s start: Eco-Dentistry for Dummies!

Eco-dentistry is nothing but Englishmen for “sustainable dentistry”.
This was created with the aim of causing the least possible damage to the environment while ensuring the control of infections and the quality of care.
Its origins are not entirely clear, since the very origin of the motions for environmentalism does not place in a specific year.

Anyway, let’s repeat: don’t panic.

Apparently the resources to invest in terms of time and energy seem many, but sometimes (as in this case) appearances deceive. Of course the ecological transformation of activities can be radical, but not necessarily.  Effective and impact changes can be made in the short term, practically immediately and at a very low cost!

The efficiency and excellence of the treatments you provide to patients will never be affected by this extra attention, indeed!
The same FDI considers sustainability a fundamental principle in dentistry so that this “is practiced ethically, with high levels of quality and safety in the pursuit of optimal oral health” and in compliance with the “the right of future generations to a world with adequate natural resources”.

If you are wondering how all this translates into practice, keep reading the article and follow the upcoming releases to not miss the complete guide we created just for you and your studio!

Are you ready? Let’s start from the first point (for the points to follow, there will be numbers attached soon):

REDUCE

“Yes, but what can be reduced?”
At first glance it seems banal, but it is not.
Waste is always lurking and reducing is sometimes the most significant move to make.
For example, you can delete paper and go digital with medical records and x-rays, or you can change the management of water and electricity by buying green energy or even switching to self-generation.
